- What is broken
- A passage marked as switching language uses an invalid code.
- Who it affects
- Screen readers choose pronunciation from the language setting; when it is missing or wrong the page is read in the wrong accent, sometimes unintelligibly.
- How to fix it
- Use valid language tags on any element that changes language mid-page.
